The iPC Technical Meeting took place on 11th – 12th July 2019 at Barcelona Supercomputing (BSC) in Barcelona, Spain, where the iPC consortium had the chance to discuss the project development after 6 months of the project start. During the meeting, partners presented their research and innovation actions in the field of paediatric cancer. In four breakout sessions, all participants intensively discussed and planned their contribution to fight different cancer types. The meeting was completed with two topic-specific keynote talks by Paul Northcott from St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Tennessee, USA) on Medulloblastoma and Olivier Delattre from CURIE (Paris, France) on Ewing sarcoma. Another highlight of the meeting was the chance to visit the “Mare Nostrum” – the supercomputer of BSC, located in a church. Moreover, partners further discussed future plans for submitting upcoming deliverables, clarified the next steps for the near future and started the planning of the upcoming technical meeting in January 2020.
